A short circular 1.5km run along the quaysides of Newcastle Gateshead, taking in the River Tyne, the iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the BALTIC Centre, the Glasshouse, the Tyne Bridge and the Swing Bridge. This route is lit at night so suitable for day or night time.

Start at Gateshead Millennium Bridge on the North/Newcastle quay. Run over the bridge. Turn right and follow path up to left of naval base and onto South Shore Rd.
The Millenium Bridge is an engineering marvel with its titling functionality, the first in the world. The design was chosen by the public in a competition posted in an engineering magazine.

Run along road past Sage Gateshead up on your left. Run underneath Tyne Bridge. Turn right and run across Swing Bridge. At end of the bridge turn right to run alongside river back to start.
